There are 84 nature reserves and 23 national parks In Russia. The aim of nature reserves is to protect animals and plants. Thats why  peoples visits are reduced. National park Valday was opened in 1990. The National Park Losiny Ostrov is close to Moscow. It was established in 1983. The Nature reserve Barguzinsky appeared in 1916.
