In 1891 Thomas Edison made a kinescope. Cinematographe was founded in 1895 by the two French brothers Lumiere. In 1905 the world's first movie theater was built in Pittsburgh in America. In 1902, cinematographers first began writing short stories for films and using actors. The first film that was shown in 1927 in America was called "The Jazz Singer".
